Every time I see a Jaguar I-Pace, I am amazed at how different the British SUV is from the other available vehicles. Even though it sounds different, I'm not saying that incorrectly because I like how the I-Pace looks.
The Jaguar I-Pace is the brand's first electric vehicle, so it's imperfect. However, it has plenty of incredible features and is a lot of fun to drive. The I-Pace is also one of the most comfortable vehicles in its category. If you still need convincing, here are 5 things that may help you decide if you like the 2023 Jaguar I-Pace.
1 – it is closely related to Formula E
In case you didn't know, Jaguar is proudly involved in Formula E with its racing team. The British car manufacturer joined the Formula E racing series in 2016 and decided to celebrate the event by creating its first all-electric vehicle. Jaguar was so inspired it even made a racing series for its SUV. The Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy went on for two seasons from 2018 to 2020, but it was shut down at the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis.
2 – 394 hp
Usually, you see this kind of power in a two-door sports car. However, things are different with the I-Pace, which has an aggressive design. The British SUV is powered by two electric motors producing a combined power of 394 hp and 512 lb-ft of torque. This is enough power, so the I-Pace can reach 100 km/h in less than 4,7 seconds which is relatively fast for a vehicle this size.
3 – 357 km range
This may seem like a little, but it is more than enough for most people. Most I-Pace owners have other vehicles in their fleet, so they use the British SUV as a grocery letter to go to the office.
4 – An exclusive vehicle
The Jaguar I-Pace is a good option if you are looking to drive something you won't see on every street corner. Of course, it's practical and everything, but it's even rarer than most exotic vehicles. Let me put it this way; you are more likely to see a Lamborghini or a Ferrari than a Jaguar I-Pace. The British manufacturer sells fewer than 100 units annually in Canada, making the I-Pace even more extraordinary.
5 – $102,000
The last thing you need to know about the Jaguar I-Pace is that it's only for some pockets. Even though you save considerable money on fuel, the British SUV still costs at least $102,000. Thankfully, there are not too many options, and those you can add to the SUV aren't too expensive either.
